Quick Tip – Ageing and Exercise

Ageing and Exercise - Pro:Kinesis Personal Training, High WycombePhysical deterioration from a sedentary lifestyle is frequently mistaken for ageing. Getting slower, stiffer and weaker as years pass is more a result of lack of regular healthy movement and an unhealthy posture. Without regularly moving your body through a range of motion, joints tighten until ordinary reaching and bending can become uncomfortable. Significantly, without exercise, muscular strength, speed and power diminish with advancing age, typically beginning after the age of 30!

Regular exercise; including stretching, weights, cardio and balance exercises slows and even reverses all this loss.

It is never too late to start improving fitness levels, even with small daily steps. Start by checking your posture! Do you hunch over alot? This can lead to a forward head posture (Kyphosis). Correcting just this one aspect is a really good start.
